Jennifer Lopez mocked for diva antics as she waits for fans to clear out of the way for a 'staged' paparazzi walk

Jennifer Lopez was mocked her behaving like a 'diva' during a recent outing.

The singer, 56, was pictured waiting for people to clear the lobby of a Four Seasons Hotel in New York City on Wednesday so that photographers outside could get a clean shot of her. 

The star lingered near the door as a number of people poured out of the building before finally making a runway-worthy walk outside.

Lopez - who was recently seen getting flirty with a co-star - then briefly waved to fans before getting inside her vehicle.

A number of fans called out the prima donna behavior, with one writing, 'This is peak celebrity nonsense: Jennifer Lopez literally waiting for the crowd to clear before doing a 20 foot walk to her car, just to stage her paparazzi exit. I'm so over celebrity culture.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to Lopez's representatives for comment. 

'This is next-level narcissism. JLo pausing like a diva for the 'peasants' to clear out so she can strut 20 feet to her SUV?' another wrote. 

'Ngl I would be so embarrassed to be seen doing all that in public on purpose,' someone else chimed in.

Another commentator remarked about a woman having to hurry up and exit while carrying her baby: 'The woman with the child. If I was her I would have really, really taken my time. There's nothing more satisfying than annoying and delaying self-important people with fake self-righteousness.'

Lopez was on her way to the screening of Netflix's Office Romance at AMC Newport Centre in Jersey City.

The Jenny from the Block singer wore a belted fur coat over a chic brown skirt.

Lopez added height to her outfit with pointed toe brown heels and carried a brown clutch in her hand.

Later in the night Lopez was pictured with her Office Romance co-star Brett Goldstein as they flirted on the red carpet at the Netflix upfront event.

The actress, who split from husband Ben Affleck in 2024, wore a plunging dress as she giggled with Goldstein, 45, amid rumors they have 'grown close' after filming.

The Ted Lasso star is thought to have been single since 2022, when he split from girlfriend Beth Rylance after a year.

Aside from their sizzling relationship onscreen, there have been whispers about their 'electric' chemistry offscreen.

'It was an open secret during filming about Brett and J-Lo – they got on like a house on fire from the start, and the chemistry was electric, which viewers will see,' a source told The Sun earlier this year.

'They were very touchy, feely, and always laughing, and everyone suspected they were hooking up.'

Another insider said, 'During the wrap party, they were all over each other during the dinner and drinks with the rest of the cast.

'They had a lot of fun while shooting; it was just what Jen needed after Ben Affleck. He put a smile on her face.

'There were quite a few jokes about Brett just being the British version of Ben. She was definitely a fan of his British charm and really felt looked after on set.'

In September 2024, the duo were spotted at the Broadway show Oh, Mary! Together, watching their co-star Betty Gilpin perform.

Lopez has even made flirty comments about her costar.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in October 2025, the singer named Goldstein as the best onscreen kisser she has ever worked with.

'I'm gonna say I just did a movie with Brett Goldstein, and I would say he was the best kisser,' she gushed.

An official synopsis for the movie was shared by Netflix in a recent Instagram post.

'Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein star in OFFICE ROMANCE. A raunchy romantic comedy about a secret office romance and the trouble two workaholics get in when they start thinking with their hearts,' the note read about the film that debuts on Netflix on June 5.

Lopez plays a CEO named Jackie Cruz, who falls for a new employee named Daniel Blanchflower, played by Goldstein.
