Jeff Probst Addresses His Future as ‘Survivor’ Host Ahead of Season 50
Jeff Probst thinks this celebrity is ready to outwit, outplay, and outlast.
The longtime Survivor host has seen hundreds of contestants play the reality competition game over the course of 50 seasons. However, he has just one celebrity in mind when it comes to who he wants to see hit the sandy beaches of Fiji.
“Adam Scott,” Jeff exclusively told E! News at PaleyLive’s: The Tribe Has Spoken event in New York City on March 10. “We text a lot about the show. He's so clever.”
After all, the Severance star has been a dedicated fan of the competition show for years and has even been spotted in the audience of the live finales for seasons 22 and 35.
While there has yet to be a celebrity season of the reality show, Jeff would certainly put his money on Adam’s success. “I know he’s got a big career,” the TV host admitted, “but I would love to watch him play because I think he’d do really well.”
Jeff isn’t the only member of the Survivor family to back a particular star for a possible celebrity-centered iteration.

Survivor 50 star Cirie Fields cast her vote for Dakota Fanning. “I think she would pull it off, The Traitors season one winner posited. “I think she would kill it. She would make it to the end—and me and her could align anytime.”
As for her fellow castaway Rizo Velovic, he didn’t wrestle with his casting choice for long, noting, “John Cena needs to be on Survivor.”
And Kyle Fraser, who was medically evacuated from the island on Survivor 50 due to an Achilles tendon injury, thinks that André 3000 could be a potential front-runner—and he wasn’t afraid to share why. “He’s incredibly thoughtful,” the season 48 winner explained to E!, “and I think he would be sneaky good at the game and super creative too!”
Until a possible all-celebrity season comes to fruition, fans can watch Survivor 50 live on CBS Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Keep reading to see everyone who is competing in Survivor 50…
