Jamie Lee Curtis paid tribute to her mother, the late actress Janet Leigh, 22 years after her death at age 77.

On Sunday, the 67-year-old Everything Everywhere All at Once star – who remembered late friend Rob Reiner at the Emmys – shared a single black and white photo of Leigh smiling in a bath tub with bubbles on Instagram.

She wrote in the caption, 'Long time gone this day. Love and misses to my mother.'

Leigh died at her home in Beverly Hills in 2004 following a year-long battle with vasculitis, a disorder that destroys blood vessels by inflammation.

The iconic actress was best known for her award-winning role as Marion Crane in Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 thriller Psycho.

Curtis's social media post comes months after she lost her sister Kelly Curtis, who died at age 69 in May.

Curtis' father Tony Curtis, who appeared in legendary films including Some Like It Hot, Spartacus and The Sweet Smell of Success, died in 2010 at the age of 85.

Curtis and her mom acted together in a 1978 episode of ABC's The Love Boat, John Carpenter's 1980 horror flick The Fog, and Halloween H20: 20 Years Later in 1998.

'I'm the child of movie stars. I watched my parents get face lifts and neck lifts,' Curtis told People in 2021.

'I watched their work diminish, I watched their fame not diminish. And the contradiction of a lot of fame, but not a lot of work, is really hard to navigate for people. Very hard to be famous but not be doing the thing that made you famous. And that for the rest of your life, you're famous for something you did a long time ago, and you chase that attention,' she reflected.

In an October 2025 interview with Variety, the actress admitted that she was a poor student in school without any major career prospects until she fell into acting.

She described herself as someone with 'no tangible abilities' and added, 'I was a D+ student, C- if you graded on a curve. I was a cheerleader.'

The Hollywood veteran continued, 'I was kind of a weirdo. I was this girl at 16, full of energy and personality. But I had no intelligence. You know, I wasn't an athlete, I wasn't in the plays. And I became an actor by accident.'

Her breakout role in 1978's Halloween cemented her status as a scream queen and she'll soon star in the NBC comedy series Newlyweds.

In her 2021 conversation with People, Curtis explained about her approach to her career: 'I wanted to be mindful, as the daughter of stars. And so, I was hedging my bets, 'cause I don't want to be the person pining away for work and not getting it.

'It's humiliating and it's a hard business. It's all about what you look like.'

In August 2025, the silver screen sensation said her mother would have 'been incredibly upset' about her Oscar-winning turn as IRS revenue agent Deirdre Beaubeirdre in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

She explained to People, 'Today I have a freedom to be myself that my mother's generation would never have allowed.

'My mother would've been incredibly upset at Everything Everywhere All at Once and how I looked. My mother would have loathed [it].'

Curtis continued: 'Her generation was so much about your body and what you look like. And the beauty. The beauty is just who she was. That's what her life was. My mother was literally jaw dropping. But I think that would've been very hard for her to see me with my tummy sticking out.'

The Bear actress famously won an Academy Award for her performance in Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert's critically-acclaimed multiverse dramedy, which went on to amass $143.4M from a $25M budget in 2022.

Curtis has two adult children – daughter Annie, 39; and transgender daughter Ruby, 30 – from her nearly 42-year marriage to Christopher Guest.
