EXCLUSIVE: Veteran executive and producer Jacqueline Sacerio has joined Range Studios, the independent studio arm of Range Media Partners, as President of Scripted Television.
Sacerio succeeds Heather Kadin, who joined the Scripted Television division of Range Studios at its inception in the Spring of 2022, and has recently transitioned to independent producing, including as an EP on a forthcoming Apple series based on the Joona Linna novels by Lars Kepler.
In her new role, Sacerio will oversee all scripted television development & production for Range, working closely with Range’s co-producing partner, A+E Studios, to curate their global slate.
Most recently, Sacerio has been building an international studio with wiip co-founder Matteo Perale, as well as French-Tunisian producer/financier Tarak Ben Ammar, that will independently finance and produce American shows shot in Europe. They currently have several projects in development, with one expected to shoot later this year.
Prior to that, Sacerio served as EVP & Co-Head of Scripted Television at Entertainment One, where she developed and produced Showtime’s Emmy-nominated drama Yellowjackets, the second-most-streamed series in the network’s history which returns for its fourth and final season later this year; Freeform’s Cruel Summer, which was the network’s most-watched series debut ever; and Deputy on Fox, among other projects. Additionally, while at eOne, Sacerio managed the studio’s roster of first-look and overall deals as well as the executive teams behind ABC’s The Rookie, The Rookie: Feds, and The Recruit on Netflix.
Prior to eOne, Sacerio was a film and television agent at CAA for nearly eight years. She transitioned to television producing in 2015, joining the Mark Gordon Company as Vice President of Television and later becoming Senior Vice President. During that time, she served as the executive in charge of the hit Kiefer Sutherland series Designated Survivor and was part of the leadership team involved in the company’s sale to eOne. Sacerio started her career in film production and acquisitions at Fox Searchlight Pictures and Warner Independent.
In a statement on Sacerio’s appointment at Range, CEO Peter Micelli said, “This day marks a full circle moment for me, as Jacqueline and I have worked together in various iterations over the past two decades. She has impeccable taste for not only telling great stories but knowing what will resonate with audiences. Her incredible experience, having been a representative as well as a world-class executive and producer, enables her to have a unique nurturing approach to collaborating with artists and ability to leverage her deep relationships throughout the industry to drive success for her projects.”
