Joe Giudice has recently been talking a lot about his family, his life, and why he now lives in the Bahamas. The former star of The Real Housewives of New Jerseyhad been living in Italy after he was deported after he served jail time. His ex-wife, Teresa Giudice, served her prison sentence prior to her husband going into jail and once he was released, he did not get to go home but instead was sent to Italy because he never got his citizenship despite living in the States most of his life. Now though, Giudice lives in the Bahamas and talked about why.
Giudice was on Teresa's podcast, Turning the Tables and the two spoke about his life post their marriage. He shared why he chose to move to the Bahamas. Teresa asked him what he missed the most about living away from the United States and Giudice shared that he misses his friends and family most of all, including Teresa. “Well, I mean, you got friends, family. I mean, everything.”

But he then went on to share that one of the reasons he moved to the Bahamas is because it was more "Americanized" than Italy was to him. “You grow up someplace, you get used to everything. I mean, that’s why I adapt[ed] here in the Bahamas, Nassau, because it’s kind of like Americanized, and I always see American people here," Giudice said. "So, I kind of feel like I’m close to home. When I was in Italy, it wasn’t really the same. It was nice, but it just felt far. Like, here, it’s close. It’s only two-and-a-half hours away, and I guess because everybody comes and visits me, I don’t feel like I’m too far.”
The two went on to talk about how Giudice does have a lawyer through and he does want to end up back in the United States so that he can be close to his daughters againdespite being denied the ability to come back by the embassy. “I got a lawyer working on something, but she’s been working on it and hasn’t done anything yet, so, I don’t know, we’ll see. I mean, I did get in front of the embassy and they denied me … and that was it. I paid a bunch of money for that, so… I went, and it took not even five minutes, and they denied it, so I’m done with this crap. It is what it is.” You can see Giudice on older episodes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
