Invincible Officially Returns September 2026

Considering it debuted over two decades ago, it really is quite spectacular how far Invincible has come in the last few years, going from strength to strength across a bunch of different mediums. The big boon in its popularity obviously came via the Prime Video adaptation, which is currently four seasons deep and showing no signs of dipping in quality.

The fifth season of that is on the way in the first half of 2027, and while the comic book run finished back in 2018, it seems as though there's plenty more to come from the franchise as a whole. Now, one of the better adaptations from recent years has announced an exciting series of upcoming events, and it's not too late to get involved for yourself.

Over on Steam, developer Quarter Up confirmed there are several events on the way tied to their fighting game Invincible VS, with in-person meet-ups all over the world on the cards. In sharing details about what players can expect, they shared the following brief statement:

"September is STACKED with Invincible VS in person events all over the globe. Check below to see if Invincible VS is running in your area and show up to support your locals, regionals, and majors. Shout out to all the TOs and players that show up!"

The fighting scene has come on leaps and bounds over the last decade or so, and tag team games make up a big part of that overall tapestry. Invincible VS is also one of the lesser played releases that still remains popular and gets a ton of support, so it's probably your best bet for getting to a major tournament as a player.

If you are entirely new to the game, don't expect a gentle introduction to the online modes, however, as most who do play regularly have put in plenty of time since its initial release in April.

At the same time, fans of Invincible also have the upcoming live action movie to look forward to. That said, progress seems to have been glacially slow up to this point, and it remains in early production at Universal, so we probably won't be seeing any more of that any time soon.
