Invincible Officially Returns July 24 With A Major Crossover

Invincible has undoubtedly been one of the revelations of the last few years in the television department, with the animated series drawing in a whole raft of new fans to a creation that is over two decades old at this point. Happily, there's plenty more to come on that front, with the show just coming to the end of its fourth season, and a renewal for a fifth already confirmed.

With the amount of source material available, it looks like there will be around eight or nine seasons of the show in total (if Prime Video continues to play ball), which should cover us for a few years yet. In the meantime, there's plenty going on around the wider franchise as a whole, including a major collaboration with one of the most popular games on the planet.

Over on the official page for Fortnite on Twitter/X, the company confirmed that the Invincible outift is coming to the store on July 24, and it's a similarly impressive rendition of the iconic costume as we have seen in the game before.

There were plenty of excited responses from fans who were happy to see Invincible return to the game, with one saying, "YEAHHH INVINCIBLE IS COMING BACK!! But can he be the cheapest option if possible?"

While another added, "Thank you for returning INVINCIBLE to the Fortnite item shop after so long of community requests! Let's bring INVINCIBLE WAVE 3 to Fortnite!"

A third could barely contain their excitement, saying, "INVINCIBLES FINALLY COMING BACK LETS GOOOOOOOO."

That isn't the only big addition to the store this week, with Ice Spice & Patrick Star being bundled up from July 23, while the Spongebob Squarepants bundle will be available from July 25. There's also the officially licensed Jeep Wrangler vehicle, the Bobomi sidekick, Chess Kingdom bundle, and Kats Island Tour bundle, all being added in between July 23-July 25.

Don't expect this to mark the start of another wider experience tied to the Invincible series in Fortnite, with this likely just part of the usual rotation we see in the game's store. That said, the ongoing popularity of the franchise means we would be exceptionally silly to rule out one happening in the future. In all likelihood, it will come at a deliberately chosen time to coincide with the launch of a new season of the show, so you might have to wait a little while if you're on the lookout.
