We’ve all heard of ‘nepo babies,’ kids of famous parents who somehow, wink wink, manage to launch their own high-profile and often lucrative careers following in mom and dad’s footsteps.

But what about ‘nepo wives’?

In Nashville, there’s a bunch of talk about a certain wife of a country music star who is in danger of eclipsing her well-known husband.

Everyone knows that it’s an incredibly hard thing to be invited to perform on stage at the Grand Ole Opry. But this spouse managed to do just that earlier this month, with her better half keeping incognito in the wings so as not to distract from his wife’s big moment in the spotlight.

It came only two weeks since she ‘hard launched’ her music career after landing a deal with Atlantic Outpost.

What’s really set tongues wagging in the capital of country music, we hear, is how this very same ‘artist’ previously insisted that all she wanted was to support her Grammy-nominated hubby.

Now she’s released two songs and cynics are wondering if this was a long play all along by a small town girl from North Carolina who was working in a bank when she met the man who could satisfy her craving to be famous.
