Andy Lee has revealed the outrageous lengths best mate Hamish Blake went to for his secret bucks party ahead of his wedding to Rebecca Harding.

The comedian, 45, was expecting to spend last Saturday dealing with the latest issues at his new house after his builder asked him to attend a site meeting.

Instead, he walked into a surprise party organised by Blake, who had spent months plotting the elaborate celebration.

Lee recalled the bizarre ruse during an appearance on Triple M's Mick in the Morning on Thursday, revealing he had been told there was a long list of things to discuss at the building site.

'I got told by our builder that there was a long list of things that I needed to go through on-site, and said, 'Can you come on Saturday at 10am?'' he explained.

'So, I got there and he said, 'Let's start in the basement' but I wanted to talk about the side-fence.'

The basement quickly revealed Blake's elaborate deception, with around 30 of Lee's closest friends waiting to surprise him.

'Little did I know that 30 of my mates are hiding in the basement, so they had to wait for me to go past the side-fence and explain my issues,' Lee said.

Once he finally made it downstairs, the elaborate day could begin.

'I got into the basement, and all the boys were there; they were all dressed as different versions of me throughout my life,' he said.

'They handed me a beer, and away we went from 10 in the morning.'

The bucks party was divided into no fewer than 15 different stages, with the group even managing to incorporate some football into the festivities.

Lee was put through a kicking competition against Carlton players Jesse Motlop and Ashton Moir.

'I had a footy kicking competition against Jesse Motlop and Ashton Moir,' he said.

Lee revealed he was eventually left completely naked - apart from a Melbourne Stars helmet - while his friends took aim with golf clubs and golf balls as he attempted to run across a golf course

'There were a few punishments if I lost to them... which happened.'

But it was another challenge that appears to have been the most memorable.

Lee revealed he was eventually left completely naked - apart from a Melbourne Stars helmet - while his friends took aim with golf clubs and golf balls as he attempted to run across a golf course.

Despite the increasingly chaotic itinerary, Lee insisted the day was exactly what he wanted.

'I had the best day. It didn't matter,' he said.

Blake's plans for the bucks party were also complicated by the AFL's new Wildcard Round, with his beloved Melbourne Demons making the finals.

Lee's Carlton side also made the finals after a difficult start to the season, having won just one of their first nine games.

'It had been planned for months. He had his own challenges because Melbourne had made it,' Lee said.

'Hamish never puts work into anything. So, I did watch the game, but I wasn't anywhere near the MCG... I was an hour away.'

Despite being away from the stadium, Lee still managed to watch the game during his bucks party.

In March last year, Rebecca and Andy shared surprising details about their upcoming wedding ceremony.

In a candid interview, Andy admitted they had been quite slow in planning their big day.

He said that most of their time had been consumed with the $8million renovation of their heritage-listed 1870s-era home built on the banks of Melbourne's Yarra River.
