Taking Infinity Nikki's special Eureka to its maximum level may have negative repercussions, as one fan recently found out. The Eureka are special elements of an outfit that are separate from the clothing pieces and interact with the character in unique ways. The special outfit pieces are integral for completing styling challenges, increasing the player's score, and giving them an advantage in any contest.

One disappointed Infinity Nikki player came to Reddit to ask others if they felt the same about something they discovered about their Eureka. The player, who goes by Complete-Peach-652 on Reddit, says they're "unreasonably devastated" to find out that their beautiful 5-star Eureka randomly changed color when they upgraded it to level 10.

"The 5-star Eureka I own are already so beautiful in their natural color palette," says the Redditor. They go on to note that if they had known the color would change randomly, they never would have upgraded it all the way. "It made me so sad," they say, and add that they now wish they could change it back.

Infinity Nikki's "Color Change Unlock" Eureka Mechanic Is Not What Some Fans Expect

It Does Not Allow Players To Switch Between Colors

Eureka can be acquired by entering the Eureka Realm through a Warp spire, where players are challenged to complete an obstacle course in return for a random piece. Upgrading them is a little more straightforward but costly, and requires the in-game currencies of Shining Particles and Bling to do so. At level 10, the description notes that Eureka gain the ability to "color change," which seems to imply players will be able to change colors at will. Unfortunately, what it really means is that the Eureka will randomly change colors when it reaches max level.

The new Companion's Day event presents this limited-time quest that can provide a few more Diamonds for stylists to use for the new outfit banners.

This information is upsetting to many players, who are either happy with their current color or think the highest level will give them a choice of color, as the description seems to suggest. It's possible to preview different Eureka colors through Pear-Pal's Eureka app, which encourages many fans to seek their dream color at max level. Reddit user little_euphoria notes that "Farming Eurekas for the colors you want seems to be our endgame," but it's always possible that developers InFold will see player disappointment and update the color mechanics behind these highly desirable costume pieces.

Infinity Nikki Players Should Be Able To Choose Eureka Colors At Max Level

Getting The Desired Color Is Possible But Takes Luck

Reaching the highest level of a Eureka in Infinity Nikki is not an easy (or cheap) feat, so I believe that players who manage to achieve it should get their choice color for the accessory. Getting the color you want is certainly possible, but it's not easy and hinges on plenty of luck.

First, players need to find a duplicate of the Eureka they want, and then they have to upgrade it to level 10 again and hope that this time, the RNG works in their favor. A few Reddit users shared some useful tips for quickly upgrading another Eureka using the existing one. For instance, 80RK tells fellow fans that they can "re-roll the color if you have a lvl 1 duplicate that you upgrade using the updated artifact." Still, while it's possible to work back up to a Eureka of the desired color, some Infinity Nikki players are quite disappointed that working hard to reach level 10 Eureka doesn't give them the ability to choose the accessory's color.
