To help soften this blow, there is a Resonance Attempt progress bar that awards players for every so many pulls. These include getting makeup, extra pulls, or even an outfit for Momo.
If these Resonance Attempts did not carry forward when an outfit is repeated, then it could cause problems with players receiving duplicate items that they would not be able to use. Similarly, if the Resonance Attempts were not specifically focused for one banner, then people may miss out on items early on if they switch to a new banner and the progress stays at the same point.
