Back in 2021, Hannah’s love of all things nerdy collided with her passion for writing — and she hasn’t stopped since. She covers pop culture news, writes reviews, and conducts interviews on just about every kind of media imaginable. If she’s not talking about something spooky, she’s talking about gaming, and her favorite moments in anything she’s read, watched, or played are always the scariest ones. For Hannah, nothing beats the thrill of discovering what’s lurking in the shadows or waiting around the corner for its chance to go bump in the night. Once described as “strictly for the sickos,” she considers it the highest of compliments.

Bethesda Game Studios is marking the Season 2 finale of Prime Video’s Fallout in a big way, releasing a brand-new trailer featuring Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus in the hit live-action series. The trailer brings Moten together with the iconic Vault Boy as the pair dive headfirst into the Fallout universe, spotlighting Fallout 76 alongside other entries in the long-running franchise. Moten’s appearance in a Fallout 76 trailer reinforces the growing connection between Prime Video’s adaptation and Bethesda’s ongoing support of the game franchise, offering fans another crossover moment as Season 2 comes to a close.

In addition to the trailer release, Bethesda is giving fans a chance to jump directly into the Wasteland. Starting January 28, Fallout 76 is free to play for a limited time in celebration of the season finale. Players can explore the game’s latest Burning Springs update, which introduces a harsh, arid region inspired by Ohio. The update also features encounters with Walton Goggins’ character, The Ghoul, bringing one of the show’s most memorable figures into the game world. The event gives both longtime players and newcomers an opportunity to experience the evolving Wasteland while engaging with content tied directly to the series. The free-to-play window varies by platform. PlayStation users can access the game at no cost through February 4, while players on Xbox and Steam have until February 5 to explore Appalachia and beyond.

‘Fallout Shelter’ Enters a New Season Inspired by 'New Vegas'

Mobile players aren’t being left out of the celebration either. Fallout Shelter has launched a brand-new season titled The House Always Wins, which is available now. The update introduces an experimental vault set on the New Vegas Strip, complete with new challenges and rewards. The season also pulls directly from the live-action series, allowing players to unlock familiar faces from the show as part of their vault population. The update continues Fallout Shelter’s tradition of blending franchise lore with light management gameplay, giving fans another way to engage with the world of Fallout alongside the Season 2 finale.

With a new trailer, free-to-play events across multiple platforms, fresh content on mobile, and the Season 2 finale rapidly approaching its premiere, Bethesda is clearly leaning into the momentum of Fallout, giving fans plenty of ways to stay immersed in the Wasteland even after the season comes to an end.
