Now, one of the twins was seen on a rare outing in Los Angeles at 65-years-old. Can you guess who?

It is Liz Sagal, one half of the famous 'Doublemint Twins' advertising campaign and star of 1980s NBC sitcom Double Trouble!

She was recently seen without her just as famous identical twin, Jean, on a casual solo outing in Los Angeles.

As mentioned earlier, the siblings may best be known for serving as the 'Doublemint Twins' in the ad campaign by Doublemint gum throughout the 1980s.

The 'Doublemint twins' are central figures in what is considered one of the longest-running and most iconic advertising campaigns in US history as it began in 1959 and ended in 2005.

The two also had a sitcom centered around them titled Double Trouble which aired over two seasons from 1984 to 1985.

In the series they portrayed Kate and Allison Foster who were two teenagers living under the watchful eye of their widowed father.

It was considered a more modern take of the 'twins in mischief' concept that was seen in 1961 film The Parent Trap and The Patty Duke Show in the 1960s on television.

The pair also appeared together as cheerleaders in highly-anticipated sequel Grease 2 which was released in 1982.

Liz and Jean are younger sisters to Katey Sagal (Above left with Ed O'Neill) who played the legendary character of Peg Bundy on Married... with Children from 1987 to 1997

However, the film - which gave Michelle Pfeiffer her big break - was considered a massive box office bomb grossing just $15 million against a budget of $11 million which was a far cry from the predecessor which earned $132 million domestically.

The family tree has strong roots in Hollywood as their father Boris Sagal, a Ukrainian-Jewish immigrant, was a prominent director.

Their mother Sara Zwilling became the first female assistant director and was also a producer and writer for TV after having her first radio show at 13.

They are also the stepdaughters to iconic dancer and actress known for her work in Walt Disney Studio animated films Marge Champion.

Their brother Joey is also an actor and screenwriter who originated the part of The Visitor in the first 357 performances of Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile and was the supervillain, Gunn, in the DC movie The Return of Swamp Thing in 1989.
