Hulu just revealed the release date and first-look images for a brand-new crime drama that serves as the perfect replacement for Mare of Easttown.
Furious stars Emmy Rossum as an FBI agent named Alice Black who hunts for a female serial killer. Hulu just shared 12 brand-new images from the series, which premieres July 27 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Check out the images below:
Rossum played Fiona Gallagher on the 11-season Showtime dramedy Shameless and took on the role of Christine Daaé in the 2004 film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Her other credits over the years include Mystic River, The Day After Tomorrow, Poseidon, Beautiful Creatures, Angelyne and The Crowded Room.
Now she's about to star in the Hulu crime drama Furious with Lola Petticrew, Scoot McNairy, Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Jake Lacy.
As Rossum's FBI character begins her pursuit of a mysterious female serial killer, their lives start to collide in unexpected ways, and both agent and criminal must contend with moral and ethical dilemmas that blur the line between what's right and what's wrong.
Elizabeth Meriwether, who previously worked on shows like New Girl, Single Parents, The Dropout and Dying for Sex, created Furious and also serves as a writer and an executive producer with Rossum, Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead, Sam Hoffman and Brian Kirk.
