Charlize Theron has revealed that she plans to permanently move to Australia, after falling in love with the country while shooting her latest film.

The Oscar winner, 50, was recently in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, to film the Netflix survival thriller Apex.

Charlize appeared on 10News, alongside co-star Taron Egerton, on Thursday night, and told entertainment editor Angela Bishop that a move Down Under was inevitable.

'Mark my words – I will live in Australia one day,' she said.

'It truly is, for me, an incredible place.'

Charlize added that her two daughters, Jackson, 14, and August, 11, also fell in love with the country while visiting her on set.

'My children came out to visit me and they fell in love with it, and they just never pay attention to where we are on location,' she said.

'My oldest was like: "Can we live here, Mum," and I was like: "I know, right? It's incredible."'

Aside from Australia's abundant natural beauty, Charlize added that she also fell in love with the people.

'I love the people,' she said. 'I love how feisty they are, and the tenacity, and I just think the place is absolutely gorgeous.'

Charlize then doubled down on her promise to move Down Under, with: 'So, yeah, I think this is my future. So whether you like it or not, I’m coming.'

The film, which premiered on Netflix this week, follows Charlize as a rock climber being hunted by a ruthless killer – played by Taron Egerton – in the Australian wilderness.

The daring look showcased the star's cleavage as she struck pose after pose for photographers.

She completed her outfit with black slacks and a ruffled white collar with ribbons that fell over Theron's toned torso.

Charlize also opened up about how she learned the 'incredible sport' of rock climbing for the film while stopping by the US Today show.

The star discussed her training for the role and explained that she was taught how to rock climb over the course of a month.

The host chimed in to say, 'It's always struck me as one of those sports where there's very little room for error. Like if something goes sideways when you're rock climbing, that's a completely different story.'

'Especially without a rope, right?' Theron jokingly replied, before adding, 'I have such an admiration and respect for climbers now.'

'Because the dedication, the willpower, the brain power and the problem solving and the physical aspect of it. It's really, it's an incredible sport.'

Along with recently learning the sport of rock climbing, Theron has been vocal about the way she stays fit.

'My children came out to visit me and they fell in love with it, and they just never pay attention to where we are on location,' she said. 'My oldest was like: "Can we live here, Mum," and I was like: "I know, right? It's incredible."' Charlize and Taron are pictured in a scene from Apex

During an interview with Elle UK last year, the Oscar winner expressed, 'I love Pilates and I love yoga.'

She further emphasised the importance of moving your body every day.

'More than fitness, I think one of the most incredible things to keep up as you get older is your mobility.'

Theron added, 'Diet, of course, is very important, but I think being able to move and using your core is crucial. As I've gotten older, I pay so much more attention to the way I move.'
