The 2025 awards season is shifting into full gear, and the Golden Globe nominations are almost here. The film and TV nominees will be announced on Monday, Dec. 9, at 8:15 a.m. ET/ 5:15 a.m. PT.
Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut will serve as hosts, announcing all categories on CBSNews.com/GoldenGlobes and the CBS News Mobile App beginning at 8:15 a.m. ET. Beginning at 8:30, an additional 10 categories will be exclusively revealed live on “CBS Mornings” on CBS. Nominees will be highlighted across Golden Globe social media accounts as they’re announced, and a full list of 2025 nominees will be available via GoldenGlobes.com immediately after the announcement.
The 2025 Golden Globes ceremony, hosted by Nikki Glaser, will air live on CBS on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, in addition to streaming on Paramount+ in the United States.
There are 27 Golden Globes categories across both the film and television sides — a higher number inflated by the separation of film nominees into musical/comedy and drama categories. This year, titles stirring up buzz on the drama side include “The Brutalist,” “Sing Sing,” “Conclave” and “Dune: Part Two,” while “Wicked,” “Anora,” and “Emilia Perez” are making waves in the musical/comedy world.
In the television world, “Shogun,” “Slow Horses,” and “Presumed Innocent” are titles eyeing nominations on the drama side, while “Hacks,” “The Bear,” and “Only Murders in the Building” top the comedy race.
Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment will return as executive producing showrunners while Dick Clark Productions will plan, host and produce the event.
