The Hernand Castle strongbox puzzle in Crimson Desert is arguably the most difficult of all the strongboxes in Hernand, moreso than both of those in Bluemont Manor, and definitely trickier than the Hillside Manor puzzle. It involves listening to a tune then selecting the right notes to replicate it, but to make things even more frustrating, the puzzle is also bugged.
If you're encountering the bug that doesn't let you listen to the tune, or you just want to know what the Hernand Castle strongbox puzzle solution is in Crimson Desert and how to get the reward inside, we're here to help.
Hernand Castle strongbox puzzle solution
Graphic: Ford James/Polygon Images: Pearl Abyss via PolygonThis strongbox puzzle is at the very top of the tower in Hernand Castle. Climb the stairs all the way up, unlock the door with a key, and head inside to find it in front of you.
The puzzle itself has eight keys, three on the top row and five below it, which we'll refer to in that order (so the fourth key is the one furthest left on the second row, for example). Each one plays a different note. On the side of the strongbox, there's a mechanism you can interact with to listen to the tune you need to replicate.
However, this is bugged for many people, making it impossible to listen to. This can be fixed by placing something on the floor below it, so you can stand on the object and interact with it; there's a chair and a box in the room that does the job. Alternatively, simply press the keys in the following order:

The tune will repeat back to you, so all you need to do is open the strongbox to acquire the reward inside. Rather than jewelry, however, the reward is a Lavish Meal recipe, but you'll need to know how to steal if you want to pick it up.
