The new year is off to a romantic start (kind of) for all Warframe players, as the new 1999 expansion allows you to get a New Year’s Kiss from your partner inside the game.
It’s a well-known fact that romance can be pursued quite actively with all six available characters. You can provide them with different gifts to solidify your bond and make them love you. Interestingly enough, you might even land a New Year’s Kiss by managing to woo your partner inside the game.
As easy as it all sounds, the task has confused a lot of players. Let’s take a look at how you can land a memorable kiss to spruce up your romantic moments in Warframe: 1999.
How to land the New Year’s Kiss in Warframe
In all fairness, getting the New Year’s Kiss in Warframe: 1999 isn’t difficult, as long as you know what to do exactly. You can’t just start your romantic journey and expect to get this unexpected gift (that won’t be fair, right!). Here are all the tasks that you’ll have to complete to obtain the kiss from your in-game partner.
- You must have a “loved” relationship level with a character and must have completed the conversation about dating each other.
- The kiss can only be obtained after the Hollvania calendar reaches New Year’s Eve.
- First, get your relationship with a character to the “Close” level, which can be done by gifting them nice items and completing their missions from the bounty board.
- You will also need to be Rank 5 with the Hex Syndicate in order to take your relationship status to a “close” level.
- Once you’re “close” with a character, you’ll have the option to start dating them using the instant message option.
- Keep completing missions and sending gifts to them to improve your relationship till you unlock “Loved” status.
- You’ll now be able to enjoy the applicable cutscene once it’s New Year’s Eve inside the game.
Incidentally, it’s not necessary to reset your relationship with a character after New Year’s Eve. This is extremely helpful if you couldn’t get your New Year’s Kiss the first time in Warframe: 1999.
