How do you get free cars in GTA Online?
While you’ll typically earn cars through facilities like Agencies and Bunkers, it can be pretty costly to afford such bases. So, if you want to avoid this route, you can use the following methods for free GTA Online vehicles:
- Look for free vehicles in car shops
- Complete tiers in Career Progression
- Obtain them during promotional events
Getting vehicles from car dealerships is the easiest way to claim some free rides, instantly transporting them to your garage. Then, you can start working towards better vehicles by completing your GTA Online Career Progress tiers (similar to a Battle Pass system).

For instance, players could previously claim an Obey 8F Drafter during the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid Missions. This event only required you to reserve the vehicle on the GTA Online site, sending it to you through Legendary Motorsport. Something similar will likely happen again with another update, so make sure to check on the Newswire for any new free cars.

To discover free cars on your phone, open the Internet app to find a car dealership. You’ll see three vehicle shops under the Travel and Transport section, where you can select ‘Sort by Price’ to uncover free items.
