In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, the villagers from every game in the series take a much-needed camping vacation. All the franchise's most beloved characters have decided to go spend some time in the wilderness, exploring islands, catching butterflies, and taking a nap on a hammock by a warm fire. And, best of all, they all want to share their precious camping experience with the players.
The campsite becomes alive as more villagers come to visit, interact with furniture and fixtures, and have a camping adventure. And unlike in previous Animal Crossing titles, you have full control over who they want to spend their camping trip with. The majority of villagers from every Animal Crossing game are out there to be found, and all players need to do is invite them to their campsite.
How Many Villagers Can Visit The Campsite At One Time
There Were 40 Villagers Originally, But Now There Are Many More
When Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp first launched, it had 40 villagers to find and befriend. The game added more characters from the various titles in the seven years that it was out as a free-to-play app and regularly updating. As a result, the full paid game now has a whopping 422 villagers from across all the games in the series.
Many online sources cite there being 413 villagers, but this number is outdated. I counted, and there are actually 422 villagers in Pocket Camp Complete.
When you first start the game, you can have eight villagers staying at the campsite at one time. Upon reaching level 20, this number expands to 16 villagers visiting the campsite in one go. It's possible to find, invite, and display any of the 422 villagers available in Pocket Camp Complete as long as their individual requirements are met.
How To Get More Villagers In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete
Certain Requirements Need To Be Met To Invite A Villager
Getting new villagers to come to the campsite requires finding them, first. Many of the villagers can be found exploring the different islands surrounding the campsite, and which villager shows up where is random. Some of the potential campers will only start showing up once players reach a certain level.

Finally, many other villager maps need to be unlocked through Gulliver's travels before they can be invited to the campsite. Unlocking these will require sending Gulliver out on an expedition to their respective island then choosing the right souvenir upon his return. the villager will then need to be unlocked by progressing through the map with Blathers.
Once you encounter a villager you want to invite to the camp, there are a few requirements that must be met. First of all, villagers must have a level-three friendship before they can be invited. Friendship levels can be increased by completing requests, chatting with the villager, and gifting them treats. Besides this, villagers have furniture requirements that need to be met before they'll agree to come visit.
You don't have to have the furniture on display in the campsite for a villager to visit, you just have to own the items.
Luckily, AC: Pocket Camp Complete makes it pretty easy to invite villagers. Players can automatically favorite all the missing furniture for crafting as soon as they're able to. Also, once a villager is at level three, they don't need to be found on an island anymore. Instead, gathering all the required furniture preferences will automatically bring up a prompt to give them a call to invite them to the campsite.
How To Switch Which Villagers Are At The Campsite
You Can Swap Villagers Any Time
It's easy to switch between villagers in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete on the fly. As long as a villager has been officially invited into the campsite, they can be swapped in to visit at any point. To switch which villagers are visiting, you will need to be at the campsite. Then, simply follow these steps:
- Tap on the cat icon on the upper left of the screen, under the photo button.
- If your campsite is full, tap on a villager you want to replace.
- Tap on a + symbol.
- Choose the villager you'd like to add to the campsite.
It's also possible to randomize which villagers show up at the campsite on any given day. Doing this requires toggling the "Daily Change" option in the villager selection screen. If there are any villagers you don't want to have visiting, you can lock them out from the rotation with "Guest Lock."
