As long as a villager has been officially invited into the campsite, they can be swapped in to visit at any point. To switch which villagers are visiting, you will need to be at the campsite. Then, simply follow these steps:

Tap on the cat icon on the upper left of the screen, under the photo button.
If your campsite is full, tap on a villager you want to replace.
Tap on a + symbol.
Choose the villager you'd like to add to the campsite.
