Chad Lowe Shares Message About Faith and the Afterlife One Week After Daughter Fiona's Death

Fiona Lowe will never be forgotten.

Weeks after Chad Lowe and wife Kim Painter shared that their 13-year-old daughter had died, the director’s 9-1-1: Nashville family made clear the Lowes have been in their thoughts.

At the conclusion of Oct. 15's season two premiere, a title card featuring Fiona's name and photo appeared alongside the note, "In Loving Memory."

The ABC drama's message comes one week after Rob Lowe's younger brother—who has directed multiple episodes of 9-1-1: Nashville as well as 9-1-1: Lone Star—shared insight into how his family is grieving their unimaginable loss.

In the wake of Fiona's Sept. 29 death by suicide, the 58-year-old has found strength and inspiration in teachings from life coach Gerry Hussey regarding faith and the afterlife.

"It's an energy field, and we possess it all the time within ourselves," Chad—who also shares daughters Mabel Lowe, 17, and Nixie Lowe, 10, with Kim—shared on his Instagram Stories Oct. 8. "We are all part of the frequency. We all possess direct access to that."

"We both possess the human and the divine, and through consciousness and awareness, and when we awaken the peaceful observer, and we get beyond our physical human emotions," he continued, "that is the divine frequency."

In addition to his views on "Christ consciousness"—in which he places his trust in a higher power to find a state of spiritual enlightenment—Gerry also argued that our loved ones find eternal rest in the afterlife.

"We return to a state of peace and love," his message continued. "I wasn't Gerry before I was born, but I had to exist because in a womb, where you have your cells and your genes and your proteins, but they can't move by themselves. There's a spirit that enters the body."

Chad and Kim confirmed Fiona's passing, which the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office later ruled a suicide, on Sept. 29 by remembering their middle daughter as a "loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance."

"She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents," read their joint statement. "In fact, she was the light of our lives."

Shortly after, Mabel broke her silence on the tragedy with a gut-wrenching message to her sister.

"I love you so much Fiona," the 17-year-old wrote on Instagram Oct. 3 alongside photos with her younger sister. "I wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at ease now. I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much."
