Harry Styles stepped out wearing a pair of navy short shorts during a New York outing to meet his pals during his residency in the city.

The singer, 32, who is currently performing 30 dates at Madison Square Garden, enjoyed some downtime on Thursday as he enjoyed a coffee date with friends.

Before arriving at the cafe, Harry was seen wandering wearing a pair of wired headphones, which he has become synonymous with over the years.

Harry was sporting a navy hoodie with his shorts and white trainers, adding a black cap and a pair of large black sunglasses to his look. 

The Aperture hitmaker, who is engaged to Zoe Kravitz, could be seen hugging his friend hello as he arrived at the venue, before taking a seat outside.

The sightings come after it was reported the newly engaged couple want a small and intimate ceremony and lots of 'big parties' with their loved ones, a source told People.

'Zoe and Harry want to have live music — that's a big part of the wedding for them,' the source said. 'Other than that, they really care most about having their loved ones around and partying with those close to them.'

Their engagement was revealed in April, approximately eight months after they were first linked together in August 2025.

The Big Little Lies star, who is the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, was subsequently seen wearing a huge diamond ring on her left wedding finger.

'They're not very fussy when it comes to wedding details. They care more about curating a fun and beautiful experience for those they hold dear,' the source continued.

It was also reported by Page Six that they liked the idea of having 'a small wedding' with just family and close friends 'in the UK around Christmastime'.

The pair have spent a lot of time in the UK in the months since they started dating. Harry has a home in north London and they reportedly spent last Christmas with his family in Cheshire, per The Mirror.

They 'love being engaged' and 'are such a strong unit', People's source continued. 'Their personalities and lifestyles match so well — they're an amazing couple.'

Harry recently credited an 'outgoing' girlfriend for making him less afraid to go out in public. 

He has enjoyed a colourful love life ever since he was propelled into the spotlight at just 16 years old after finding instant fame with One Direction. 

Harry and Zoe are often spotted out and about strolling around London and New York and now he has revealed how he gained the confidence to just go out in public through one of his former girlfriends – despite his celebrity status. 

Speaking with Radiohead star Thom Yorke for Rolling Stone magazine, Thom told the star: 'I was also impressed that you were just walking down the street. I was like, “Where’s his security?” Because I mean, I know I can do it, but I didn’t know you could do it. Is that a choice?'

Harry explained: 'I think in the early days, when I was in the band, so much of the hotel experience felt very locked-in. When I’d be home, it felt like, “Oh, it’s not safe for me to be out.” 

'Then I had a girlfriend who was very outgoing, and she was coming to London and I was like, “Oh, if we just sit in my house for three days, she’s gonna think I’m nuts.” 

'So we walked everywhere, and it was this realisation for me: “Oh, it’s fine to be outside.” 

'It kind of broke that thing. Now, it’s changed my life in such a big way, because it’s how you stay connected to the world.'

Harry could have been alluding to his past relationship with Taylor Swift, who Harry dated around the height of One Direction's success back in 2012 – at the time she was 22 and he was 18.

He added: 'I read something about walking being the artist’s kind of perspective, because you’re at ground level and you see things that you just don’t see if you’re driving everywhere.'

As well as walking around his home city, Harry is also frequently spotted out on a run or hopping on a Lime bike. 

Last year he stunned fans when he popped up again on the streets of Tokyo, taking part in the city marathon.

Despite being one of the most famous faces in the world, he insisted that being in constant motion meant that fans often didn't get the chance to recognise him.
