House Of The Dragon Will Return With A Surprise Mini Arc In Game Of Thrones: Conquest

While we expected dramatic moments with The Dance of the Dragons playing out on screen, things didn't pan out exactly as they did in the Fire & Blood source material, with a handful of major controversial diversions.

Jace's death, for example, was incredibly disappointing when compared to the original story by George R.R. Martin, where he enters the Battle of the Gullet to rescue his younger brothers, whereas in House of the Dragon, he chooses to lead the defense himself to protect Dragonstone and prove himself as Rhaenyra's heir. On the flip side, Aegon II's reunion with Sunfyre was arguably a series high point, giving Tom Glynn-Carney a chance to show off his acting chops in a showstopping scene.

Whatever your feelings about Season 3, House of the Dragon isn't quite done with its 2026 run yet, with an official return in the form of a new "mini arc" releasing on August 10 (via GoTC).

House of the Dragon has become a staple of the recurring Special Events in Game of Thrones' long-running mobile strategy game from WB Games Boston, GoT: Conquest. This coming Monday, following House of the Dragon's Season 3 finale, Conquest will host a limited-time House of the Dragon Mini Arc, which runs until Monday, August 24.

The fourth and final House of the Dragon mini-arc in Conquest begins on August 10 and is part of the larger History and Visions event running throughout August. According to Warner Bros. Games Boston's event schedule, the storyline centers on the aftermath of the Battle of the Gullet, with players participating in themed Hero Power, Dragon Training, and Dragon’s Delight events to earn exclusive rewards before the crossover concludes later this month.

The larger House of the Dragon collaboration has been split into four mini-arcs over July and August, each following key moments from HBO’s series while offering limited-time rewards. Previous chapters revisited the opening conflict between the Blacks and Greens, the mounting Targaryen civil war, and major dragon-focused storylines inspired by Seasons 1 and 2, while also allowing players to unlock rewards such as the mythic Vhagar Hero Card and Dragon Heir March Pawn.
