The future of the Hogwarts Legacy franchise continues to look bright with big plans ahead for the Harry Potter-inspired RPG. With a sequel on the way, and plans to coordinate its storyline with the one featuring in HBO's Harry Potter, fans can expect to return to the magical world in more ways than one in upcoming years.

However, with plans to give Hogwarts Legacy a brand-new look later this year, fans will more than likely be returning to the Warner Bros. RPG to experience its original magic more than ever, and this free download gives them the perfect opportunity to do so.

Hogwarts Legacy: Night Curfew Is A Great Fan Expansion

Created by nathdev over on CurseForge, Hogwarts Legacy: Night Curfew is a free download which will allow you to add lore-accurate events to the hit RPG. By adding eight custom prefects to the game, Night Curfew does exactly what it says on the tin by introducing a curfew for Hogwarts' students who sneak out of bed at night.

Phineas Black had enough of you and instaured a curfew inside the castle. Now prefects will try to catch you between the curfew hour.

From the hours of midnight to 6am, prefects will stalk the corridors in the hopes of catching students out of bed, and if caught, they will be sent straight back to their Common Room as well as receiving a fine for 100 Knuts. With 24 custom prefects added to Hogwarts Legacy, players will have to be sneaky if they wish to avoid their all-seeing eyes.

When it hits midnight, the player will receive a message that curfew is about to start, and then the prefects will be marked on the minimap. Additionally, after The Caretaker's Lunar Lament quest, the prefect's patrol routes will change, so memorizing their patterns will no longer help you. Luckily, the Disillusionment spell will cloak you from their prying eyes and, additionally, you can fire a spell at the floor to attract their attention and turn them away from your location.

Last but not least, in the latest update for Hogwarts Legacy: Night Curfew, users can now manually stop/start the curfew as well as enter their own times for it to go into effect. Additionally, professors will also be under the curfew, and there are even more custom prefects added to the game.

Hogwarts Legacy Is Light On New Official Content

It is thanks to the dedicated modding community that Hogwarts Legacy continues to boast an impressive player base three years on from its original launch. With free downloads such as The Goblet, Arena, and Twilight Labyrinth being just some examples of the unofficial, yet incredible, new content you can explore in Hogwarts Legacy, it makes the wait for that highly anticipated sequel that little bit easier. However, with fans of the hit RPG complaining over the lack of official post-game content, let us hope that Hogwarts Legacy 2 offers a deeper dive into the magical world of Harry Potter.
