Several first-look images from Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill's upcoming film Enola Holmes 3 have been revealed.

Netflix's first-look images at Enola Holmes 3 tease several moments from the upcoming film, including Enola Holmes' mother, Eudoria Holmes, and Tewkesbury.

Brown's titular character, Enola, is featured in several of the photos, which show her peering around a corner, running away as flames rage around her, wearing a wedding veil, sitting against a rock with Tewkesbury, and browsing outside a bookshop with her brother, Sherlock Holmes, played by Cavill.

The Enola Holmes franchise, which is based on Nancy Springer's Enola Holmes Mysteries book series, centers on the famous detective's sister. In the first film, which was released in 2020, Enola searches for her missing mother, but Brown's character finds herself involved in a shocking conspiracy.

Enola Holmes 2, which arrived on Netflix two years later, sees Enola helping her first client after opening a detective agency, but scandals and conspiracies involving government officials follow her around every corner.

Both films are Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with critic scores of 91% and 93%, respectively.

It's now been six years since Netflix introduced its subscribers to Enola, and the character will be spending the third film "questioning what she wants next," as teased by Brown in an interview with Tudum. "I think that's something so many people can relate to. There's this pressure of, 'Okay, I've achieved this...but who am I now?"

Brown has "grown up alongside" Enola, so these themes of self-discovery feel "really personal" to the actress. Enola's bond with Tewkesbury is also evolving, with Brown revealing that Enola Holmes 3 will "explore a more mature version of their relationship."

In the past, viewers got to see a more "playful" side of their relationship, but now "it has real weight to it." The two characters trust each other a lot more now, so the filmmakers and cast members can take "more risks" and "lean into the emotional side of their story."

Philip Barantini, who directed and executive-produced the award-winning Netflix series Adolescence, helmed Enola Holmes 3, replacing Harry Bradbeer from the first two films. Jack Thorne returned once again to write the screenplay.

Brown began working on the Enola Holmes films when she was still starring on the hugely popular series Stranger Things, which just ended its five-season run in December 2025. Her other credits include Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, Damsel and The Electric State.

She not only stars in the Enola Holmes threequel, but Brown also serves as an executive producer. Helena Bonham Carter, Louis Partridge, Himesh Patel and Sharon Duncan-Brewster star alongside Brown and Cavill.

Enola Holmes will be released on Netflix on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
