Henry Cavill's iconic DC movie has some historical box office competition.
One of the actor's major DC superhero movies has officially been overtaken by The Devil Wears Prada 2 at the worldwide box office. Cavill's movies include his stint as Superman for the DCEU, an initial attempt by Warner Bros. to get a shared universe for DC's superheroes onto the big screen. In terms of overall box office revenue, this makes The Devil Wears Prada 2 the 169th highest-grossing movie of all time, bumping Man of Steel down to 173. It emphasizes how the drama has just as much pull as the superhero movie.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 reviews are reflective of this success, the film having earned a Certified Fresh 77% on Rotten Tomatoes as of writing. It also has an 84% with audiences on the site, showcasing how much the movie's dramatic flair and the return of its major cast members has helped to elevate it for many. This includes putting it ahead of the popular superhero movie, a feat that showcases just how big of an audience the movie has earned across its first six weeks in theaters.
