Harry Treadaway (Mr. Mercedes) has landed a series regular role in Bishop, Amazon MGM Studios‘ new thriller from co-creators Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman.
While we’re told Treadaway will play the part of Wyatt, further details are under wraps. As previously announced, Joel Kinnaman and John Malkovich anchor the show, with Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jordana Brewster also set to star.
Bishop follows the brilliant, battle-scarred homicide detective Bishop Graves (Kinnaman) as he puts all of his skills to the test in the hunt for an elusive killer targeting San Francisco’s moneyed class. As this increasingly audacious killer develops a devoted following among the city’s powerless, Bishop becomes convinced these murders connect back to SF’s most powerful man, his own father, Lincoln Graves (Malkovich).
Marvin co-created and exec produces Bishop alongside Saltzman and serves as its showrunner. The project stems from his overall deal at Amazon MGM and reps his second pilot script and second series order following his two-season run with their horror series Them. Roy Lee and Miri Yoon/Vertigo are also on board as executive producers, with Felicia Fasano as casting director.
Working as an actor for 20 years, Treadaway is best known for his work in television. Recently, he’s played the lead role of Dr. Hunter in the Paramount+ psychological thriller Chemistry of Death, as well as Narek in Star Trek: Picard; Brady Hartsfield in two seasons of Mr. Mercedes; Victor Frankenstein in three seasons of Showtime’s Penny Dreadful, and Roddy Llewelyn in The Crown for Netflix.
On stage, Treadaway recently starred in The Grapes of Wrath at the National Theatre in London. In film, he will next be seen in Susanna White’s drama Prima Facie, based on the play by Suzie Miller. The English actor is repped by Principal Entertainment and Sequel Management.
