Harry Potter actress Evanna Lynch is married: Luna Lovegood star ties the knot with French gardener Denis Skinner in London after consulting an astrologer about her wedding date

Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch has got married. 

The actress, 35, who played Luna Lovegood in the film franchise, married French gardener Denis Skinner in London after consulting an astrologer about her wedding date. 

The couple were joined by 20 of their closest family and friends for the ceremony at Islington Town Hall. 

Evanna looked stunning in a vintage puff ball skirt which was sewn to a Moira Hughes corset from Ellie Sanderson. 

After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to Wilton's Music Hall where they had a swing band and enjoyed vegan cake. 

Evanna met Denis at a bar in Camden back in 2021. At the time he was a barman, and the actress kept returning in the hope something would happen.

Sure enough, Denis slipped the actress a handwritten note with his number on.

The couple got engaged in 2023 after a 'big argument'.

Evanna told Vogue: 'It was 2023, and we had a big argument. It felt like a break-up argument. Like the, break-up argument.'

She admitted it was a 'terrible way to get engaged'.  

After Denis reproposed at her cousin's allotment, Evanna consulted an astrologer about what their wedding date should be.

Evanna said: 'Her thing was to avoid the solar eclipse. I can totally see why. Lots of my friends have been sick, or a family member has died – it's been very dramatic.'

They married on August 21. Evanna presented Denis with a charm necklace featuring his dog's tooth instead of a ring. 

She said: 'When we started the wedding planning process, I was a bit disparaging of it all. It's so over the top. It's so lavish. But, as we've gotten closer to it, I've realised how unique and special it is.'

Evanna previously had a secret nine-year relationship with her Harry Potter co-star Robbie Jarvis, who played a young version of Harry's dad, James Potter. 

They split in 2016, after which she had a brief romance with singer-songwriter AnDel in 2017. 

Evanna made a return to social media last year by launching a new blog, two years after shunning the spotlight following her defence of J.K. Rowling's trans views.
