Margot Robbie has touched down on home soil ahead of attending Australia's most exclusive fashion events this year - the Chanel Cruise/Resort runway collection presentation.

The Australian actress, 36, was spotted arriving at Sydney Airport on Wednesday, but failed to raise a smile as she made her way through the bustling terminal with her handlers.

Channelling Audrey Hepburn, the mother-of-one showcased her very slender frame in a pair of black capri trousers and a crew-neck top, paired with Chanel sunglasses and a blue paisley-print headscarf.

The Chanel ambassador completed her retro look with a pair of elegant black ballet flats and hoop earrings, while carrying her belongings in a black leather Chanel bag.

She also drew attention to her pout with a slick of burgundy lipstick that perfectly matched her nail polish.

Chanel is staging its first-ever Australian runway show on Thursday and it is expected to be one of the biggest fashion events Sydney has seen in recent years.

The brand will present its Chanel Cruise/Resort 2026–27 collection by Matthieu Blazy.

It is a particularly significant event as Chanel rarely brings its international runway presentations to Australia, with Sydney selected alongside cities including Miami, Singapore, Dubai and Seoul for one of its prestigious travelling shows.

Chanel is hosting a private VIP event at Shelly Beach in Manly on Wednesday evening, and the main runway show will take place the following day at an undisclosed location.

Chanel executives will meet with media on Wednesday evening at an event being held at a private residence in Vaucluse.

The show itself will be staged twice on Thursday, with presentations scheduled for 2.30pm and 6pm.

While the runway looks are the same as those first unveiled in Biarritz in April, Chanel has promised a local touch for its landmark Australian event.

A-listers expected to attend the show alongside Margot include Nicole Kidman and her daughter Faith, Jacob Elordi, the face of Bleu de Chanel, and Kylie Minogue, who has featured in the brand's recent campaigns.

The full celebrity guest list has not been released, however.

Margot has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Chanel, having been appointed a brand ambassador in March 2018.

She first fronted the label's inaugural Coco Neige collection, a winter sports-inspired line, before going on to star in campaigns for its Gabrielle fragrance, J12 watch collection and Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick.

In September 2024, she was named the new face of the iconic Chanel N°5 perfume, taking over from French actress Marion Cotillard.

She marked the appointment by starring alongside fellow Queenslander Jacob Elordi in a short film titled See You at 5, directed by acclaimed Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino.

She also fronted the 2026 Chanel 25 handbag campaign, which recreated Kylie Minogue's iconic Come Into My World music video.
