Elusive Sydney socialite Maude Tzaneros proved on Tuesday that a family business scandal won't get in the way of having a good time.
The Tzaneroses have been plagued by gossip since the collapse of their freight business, ACFS Port Logistics, which included a Federal Court winding-up application over nearly $60million in unpaid liabilities to the ATO.
The crisis intensified when Maude's husband Arthur Tzaneros, who founded the company with his father Terry in 2005, resigned as chief executive and managing director after his WhatsApp messages from a Scots College group chat were leaked.
Arthur later apologised for his 'insensitive' comments about the sexual assault allegations against three current Scots students, while his father Terry assumed leadership during the administration process.
While the Daily Mail understands the family behind the Port Botany-based logistics giant has engaged crisis PR managers to soften perceptions of its vast wealth as creditors close in, Maude appears to have missed the memo entirely.
She was spotted getting into the Spring Racing Carnival season on Melbourne Cup Day, joining several high-profile friends from the eastern suburbs in-crowd for a party at the ritzy Royal Hotel Paddington.

The mother-of-three completed her race day ensemble with a barolo clutch from Bottega Veneta worth $5,900.
Upon arrival, Maude stopped at the media wall to take a photo with Elaine Kwan, the co-founder and creative director of resortwear brand Mode d'Vie, as well as Sarah Cameron, who is a regular at high-society events.
Sarah was seen arriving with Maude, Elaine and Natalie Salha, who is the co-founder of luxury consignment store NS Style Sydney.
A source previously told the Mail: 'They [the Tzaneroses] are trying to keep a low profile because they know it's a bad look to be seen living large when the company owes millions.
'But at the same time, you have friends and you have a life to lead. I would imagine the women of the family who aren't directly involved in the business are feeling pretty conflicted about what to do.'
Also at the celebration was Felicity McVay, the former Global Head of Entertainment at TikTok, who donned a pale yellow dress with a matching fascinator and carried a Louis Vuitton handbag.
Felicity was spotted speaking with Anji Lake, the wife of Ray White CEO Thomas McGlynn, and later took a photo with the event's host, Harriet Waugh, who founded the annual Ladies Luncheon hosted by The Royal Hospital for Women.
Sarah Colquhoun, a private legal consultant, was also in attendance, clad in a pink monochrome get-up which matched Maude's look.

Maude's outing comes as the Tzaneros family faces intense scrutiny during the financial crisis engulfing its freight business, ACFS Port Logistics.
The company, founded by Terry and Arthur in 2005, entered administration in August after mounting financial pressure.
The crisis intensified when Arthur resigned as chief executive and managing director, following the leak of WhatsApp messages regarding allegations involving students at his former school, Scots College, which drew widespread criticism.
Arthur later apologised for his 'insensitive' comments, while his father Terry assumed leadership during the administration process.
Despite the turmoil, the family has been working on a plan to recapitalise the business, which remains operational under administration.
In the fallout, family members have largely locked down their social media accounts and withdrawn behind the gates of their multimillion-dollar homes.
Poppy Tzaneros, the wife of ACFS Port Logistics' IT director Anthony Tzaneros and a member of the prominent O'Neil family, is said to be keeping the lowest profile of all, prompting no shortage of speculation in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
