Hannah Waddingham stuns in a curve-skimming ivory silk dress as she heads to dinner with her Ted Lasso co-stars after season four was branded a 'lazy mistake'

Hannah Waddingham turned heads in a curve-skimming ivory silk dress as she stepped out for dinner with her Ted Lasso co-stars in New York on Wednesday. 

The actress, 52, who portrays billionaire club owner Rebecca in the Apple TV series, looked incredible in the sleeveless silk number as she arrived at Quality Italian.

Styling her bobbed blonde tresses in waves, Hannah elevated her frame in a pair of towering open toe heels and accessorised with dazzling earrings. 

The British star was all smiles during the outing despite series four of Ted Lasso being branded a 'lazy mistake'. 

The Daily Mail's Christopher Stevens has rated the new series just a two out of five stars as he claimed the show has run its course. 

He wrote: 'The narrative of Ted Lasso, Apple TV's self-satisfied comedy drama about a US football coach who transforms the fortunes of an English Premier League club by teaching it to play the American way.

'As the players learn to embrace their mental health and parrot inspirational slogans, they become happier, more rounded human beings. They also get relegated, of course, but what does that matter?

'By reviving a popular series that had run its course, Apple is falling into the same lazy mistake that has undermined Hollywood. Rather than come up with new and creative ideas, they are content to rehash old ones, and clearly intend to keep doing so until we're all thoroughly bored.'

Meanwhile writing in The Telegraph, Benji Wilson awarded the series three stars, writing: 'New Ted Lasso is the same as old Ted Lasso: a surprisingly delicate balance between the sickly-sweet and the smutty that leaves you marvelling at how they keep getting away with it.'

It's the series that made Hannah a household name, and since finding fame she has also found a new man.

The Game Of Thrones star has found love again for the first time with Nick Beresford-Cleary since the end of her long-term relationship with Gianluca Cugnetto eight years ago.

Previously, Hannah decided to focus on herself and being a mother to their daughter Kitty, now 11, before 'sticking my head above the parapet' and returning to the dating scene.

That changed in May when she let slip on her love life, giggling that her new man is 'very good looking' and 'really lovely'.

Nick is a consultant spine surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and King Edward VII Hospital, who specialises in both elective and emergency spinal surgeries.

He kickstarted his career with a degree in mechanical engineering from UCL but then went into medicine.

His training includes a Medical degree from Edinburgh University and specialist Trauma and Orthopaedic training in Oxford.

He undertook fellowships in paediatric and complex adult spine surgery in Oxford and Vancouver, as well as an academic attachment at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

Hannah became a single mother after her relationship with her partner Gianluca broke down when their daughter was two, and since then, she has remained focused on her life with Kitty.

In May, she revealed she is in her first relationship after nearly a decade in her cover story interview with Women's Health UK.

'It's taken me eight years,' Hannah admitted to the magazine, when asked about getting into a new relationship. 'I didn't really have the space mentally or emotionally for that.

'I've hunkered down and focused on my girl and me. [But] now I'm ready to stick my head above the parapet a bit more.'

When asked if 'it's a very good-looking parapet', Hannah laughed and confirmed, 'It is!'

She added: 'And it's really lovely too, obviously, my relationship. But the best thing about it is, firstly, being happy and strong in myself.'
