Hacks was swiftly renewed after the conclusion of its third installment in May, and audiences are sure to see a new dynamic between Ava and Deborah in Season 4.

Following the HBO comedy’s Golden Globe win Sunday night, creator Jen Statsky teased that they are now at a point in their relationship “they’ve never been before” after Ava (Hannah Einbinder) blackmailed Deborah (Jean Smart) into giving her the head writer position on her late night gig in the Season 3 finale.

“Definitely Season 4, you see them butting heads in ways they never have while also trying to get a show off the ground, which is very, very complicated,” Statsky explained.

This is the second time that Hacks has taken home the award for Outstanding Musical or Comedy Series at the Globes. Smart and Einbinder were also nominated for their roles once again.
