EXCLUSIVE: With production on Guy Ritchie and Black Bear‘s action-thriller Viva La Madness underway in London, Deadline can reveal the stars who are confirmed as part of the ensemble cast joining the previously announced lead Jason Statham.

They are Vinnie Jones (Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Jason Isaacs (White Lotus, Harry Potter), Babs Olusanmokun (Dune, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare), Camila Mendes (Riverdale, Palm Springs), Ben Foster (Motor City, Hell or High Water), Jonny Lee Miller (The Crown, Elementary), and Raúl Alejandro (La Reina del Flow). Not surprisingly, the list includes stars whom Ritchie has cast in his other productions, like Jones, Olusanmokun, and Miller.

Viva La Madness is based on the as-yet-unreleased novel of the same name from JJ Connolly, who co-wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation with Ritchie. Details regarding what the film will be about are under wraps.

We understand that Connolly’s new book is a sequel to his debut novel, “Layer Cake”; however, Viva La Madness is a stand-alone, original film, not a continuation of any previous work. “Layer Cake” was previously adapted for the big screen in 2004 by the British novelist, and was directed by Matthew Vaughn in his debut.

Viva La Madness marks Jones’ fifth collaboration with Ritchie, following Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Mean Machine, which also starred Statham, and the Netflix series The Gentlemen. Olusanmokun is teaming with Ritchie for a second time, following the actor’s role in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Miller recently starred in the famed director’s feature The Covenant.

Viva La Madness was developed by Statham for Punch Palace Productions and Thomas Benski for Lumina Studios, who are producing alongside Ritchie and Ivan Atkinson for Toff Guy Films and John Friedberg for Black Bear. Black Bear will distribute the film domestically, while Amazon MGM Studios will distribute it in the majority of international territories.

Jones is represented by Elevate. Isaacs is repped by Strand Entertainment, Gersh and Independent Talent Group. Olusanmokun is represented by Markham, Froggatt, and Irwin. Mendes is represented by CAA and Luber Roklin Entertainment. Foster is represented by Range Media Partners. Miller is represented by UTA. Alejandro is represented by UTA.
