Grand Theft Auto 6 fans have been waiting for what feels like an eternity for the game's official release, which is finally set to launch this November. In the time since the game's announcement, there have been countless leaks and rumors about what gameplay will actually be like and what features may be included in the finished product.

However, Rockstar Games has also faced scrutiny in the past year, with accusations of union-busting circulating after dozens of employees were suddenly let go. As the ensuing court case and deliberations heated up, details about the specific reasons these employees were fired began to surface, including one leak that revealed what appear to be legitimate details about gameplay.

Part of the leaked court documents reveal a major gameplay feature that we can expect to see in Grand Theft Auto 6, and despite the unfortunate surrounding context, gamers are more hyped than ever for the game's launch later this year (via Reddit).

GTA 6 Online Gameplay Details Leaked Via Court Documents

Devs Were Fired Over Communications About GTA 6 Online Gameplay

According to recently leaked court documents from a case involving former Rockstar developers who were fired for Discord discussions containing sensitive details about the game, GTA 6 Online will support up to 32 players in a single lobby.

While the documents have not been fully released yet, details have surfaced in recent months that indicate there will be at minimum 32-player lobbies, with fans anticipating even higher capacity later down the road.

It's worth noting that the messages in question do not specifically indicate that the game is Grand Theft Auto 6, but as ZeldaIsMyChildHood points out, while "it could be for another game or another online mode, I think based on how sensitive they describe this, it is probably ... for GTA 6 Online."

Some Players Expect Even More

While it's not necessarily a surprising number given GTA 5 Online currently supports 30 players and two spectators in free-roam, iRaiseHell points out that this is double the number of players from when GTA 5 Online first launched, and "an increase could always be possible down the line with the next gen."

Not everyone is convinced that's even necessary, however, with players like No_Friendship_4158 saying that anything over 32 players "would be too much chaos." The leaked info is certainly giving players a lot to chew on in terms of what Grand Theft Auto 6 will feel like with such an expansive open-world, but it's clear that hype is reaching an all-time high as we inch our way closer to November 19.
