The launch of Grand Theft Auto VI is so close now, we can nearly taste the sprinkles off an ice cream on Vice Beach. But even though the 19 November 2026 is fast approaching, we're still crazing more content. Sure, the Netflix showcase called Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, gave us a lot to comb through, but apart from that, Rockstar Games and, indeed, Take-Two Interactive have been only drip feeding us the smallest of tidbits.

Aside from official channels, there has been more content brought to light for fans wanting more. Cyberleek disappeared for a while when the Netflix Extended Look launched, but then came back even harder. They released their own Extended Leek to mimic what had come before. This similar in length leak, showed among other things, that Cyberleek had a working model of the game with developer mode enabled. Spawning in tanks and showing off characters going commando was perhaps a step too far for some fans.

One useful piece of information that has come from Cyberleek though is the game file size. It's useful because it lets us gamers know how much free space we need on our PS5 or XBox hard drives prior to launch. It also doesn't spoil the game in any way for purists who want to enjoy it fresh, which is a relief. In fact, knowing what the file size might be could help gamers avoid a failed download while they sleep. Imagine waking up hoping to play Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19 only to have a failed download message staring back at you.

As with all information from Cyberleek, this needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Cyberleek has said they will leak the developer build they have if their meme coin reaches over $30 million in value and the file size they quote in their threat is more than 200GB. Bearing in mind though, they have a developer build which is most likely a lot chunkier and less optimized than the finished release. Players can expect the official release of the game to be smaller than 200GB. But, having this ballpark figure in mind, it will now be easier to keep at least 200GB hard drive space free before November 19, 2026.

When you take into account Rockstar's last big game, Red Dead Redemption 2, the file size on consoles was up to 107GB and on PC it was a whopping 150GB. Grand Theft Auto VI having a file size close to 200GB doesn't sound too far from reality and anyone erring on the side of caution might want to consider keeping 200GB free on their hard drive prior to launch. After all, Grand Theft Auto VI is shaping up to be one of the largest, most detailed open world games of all time, so it makes sense to keep some space free for November.

With Grand Theft Auto VI already selling out over at Amazon, it's clearly going to be one of the biggest games of the decade, and we're not just talking about hard drive space! But with us still having over a month to wait for it, it may be a good time to dip back into Red Dead Online and perhaps try out the new Red Dead Redemption 2: Fear of the Dark content, just in time for spooky season. Between now and November 19, let's hope Cyberleek keeps quiet and doesn't follow through on their promise to leak Grand Theft Auto VI to the public. I personally, don't need any more spoilers and want to play the game with fresh eyes next month.
