GTA 6 Fans Marking Their Calendars For April 1 Following Trailer 3 Tease

With a November release still locked into the diary for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, excitement is continuing to build, and fans are eagerly anticipating official word from Rockstar on everything from the details around editions and pre-orders, to news of how much the game is going to cost.

As such, the delivery of a third trailer would definitely placate the community for a few more months, and some think they might have worked out exactly when the developer is planning to drop it on our collective heads.

Would GTA 6 News Really Land On April 1?

Over on Twitter/X, GTA 6 Countdown shared some circumstantial evidence they had discovered which they believe points to some kind of announcement from the company around the game before April 1.

"Unusual activity has been detected from Rockstar Games. In today’s Newswire, they covered three weeks of GTA Online bonuses and challenges instead of the usual one, clearing their schedule and leaving a suspicious window open for a potential GTA 6 announcement before April 1st."

It's an interesting theory, and one that does have some salience, but given just how quiet things have been, a major announcement with zero ramp-up over the next few weeks would be a major surprise. Equally, they'll probably do their best to avoid April 1 itself, particularly given the connotations that day in particular inevitably comes with.

It was enough to pique some interest in the comments, with one response saying, "Rockstar covering three weeks of GTA Online at once? Pretty unusual move. Interesting timing."

"Rockstar clearing the schedule like this? Suspicious. GTA VI announcement loading… Let’s go!" another added.

GTA 6 Trailer Three Has To Arrive Soon

Whatever their plans are specifically, it's a pretty safe bet that the third trailer for the game will be along at some point very soon. If we take Red Dead Redemption 2 as an example, the third trailer for that game arrived in May, with the full release in October, which would put us on schedule for a third GTA VI trailer by June at the latest.

Until then, we'll just have to sit tight. We've been waiting a very long time already, so what's a couple more months if it means we get an extensive GTA VI reveal at the end of it.
