The 2026 Grammy Awards are underway Sunday in Los Angeles, starting a full day of awards-giving by the Recording Academy to honor the past year’s best in music achievement.
Grammys will be awarded in a total of 95 categories, beginning with the Premiere Ceremony at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT, where the majority of trophies will be bestowed. The marquee awards will be handed out during the primetime show beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT at the Crypto.com Arena in L.A. airing live on CBS and Paramount+. Trevor Noah hosts.

Kendrick Lamar tops this year’s Grammy nominations with nine, including in the marquee Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year categories that will be awarded during the primetime ceremony. He has a chance to eclipse Jay-Z for the most Grammys by a rapper today.
Lady Gaga and her Mayhem album’s co-producer Cirkut follow with seven noms apiece, the same number as producer Jack Antonoff. Sabrina Carpenter and R&B newcomer/Best New Artist nominee Leon Thomas have six noms as does Bad Bunny, who after the Grammys will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show next Sunday.
