Gracie Lawrence of The Sex Lives of College Girls and the band Lawrence will make her Broadway debut this spring opposite Jonathan Groff in the Bobby Darin musical Just In Time. She’ll play singer Connie Francis to Groff’s Darin.
Also joining the cast is Emily Bergl, who has appeared on Broadway in Goodnight Oscar, The Ferryman, and A Touch of the Poet and on TV in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Mindhunter. For Just In TIme, she’ll play Nina/Mary.
With a book by Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver and featuring such Darin hits as “Beyond the Sea,” “Splish Splash,” “Dream Lover” and “Mack the Knife,” Just In Time begins previews Friday, March 28, at Broadway’s Circle In The Square Theater, with an opening night on Wednesday, April 23.
Developed and directed by Alex Timbers, Just In Time has also announced its design team: scenic design by Derek McLane (Death Becomes Her), costume design by Catherine Zuber (Moulin Rouge!), lighting design by Justin Townsend (Here Lies Love), and sound design by Peter Hylenski (Maybe Happy Ending).
Lawrence and Bergl join previously announced cast members Groff, Michele Pawk, Joe Barbara, Lance Roberts, Caesar Samayoa, Christine Cornish, Julia Grondin, Valeria Yamin, John Treacy Egan, Tari Kelly, Matt Magnusson, Khori Michelle Petinaud and Larkin Reilly.
The latest castings were announced today by producers Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens and John Frost.
