While the 9950X3D2 is a little bit faster, the CPU benchmark data below will confirm just what a beast the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D is for gaming. This new Zen 5 CPU knocked the gamers' favorite 9800X3D off its pedestal when it launched earlier this year, placing it just behind the productivity-focused 9950X3D at the top.

All eight of the 9850X3D's cores can take advantage of AMD's 3D V-cache technology, boosting the available L3 cache capacity to 96MB to reduce latency and deliver the best possible gaming performance. It comes with a 4.7 GHz base clock speed, which boosts up to 5.6 GHz, and is fully unlocked, meaning you can overclock this CPU if you've got the build to handle it.

Coupled with the 9850X3D is a Gigabyte Eagle RTX 5070 Ti. One of Nvidia's latest-gen GPUs, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is a mid to high-tier option for gaming that lets you ditch 1080p for higher resolutions and higher frame rates. It includes 8,960 CUDA cores, along with 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM. The VRAM boost is important here, giving your PC the opportunity to switch to 1440p or even 4K, with games able to run with high and even ultra graphics presets at those resolutions.

One of the advantages of this Nvidia Blackwell GPU is the software, too. While features like multi-frame generation in DLSS 4 can prove controversial, they do provide you with some breathing room to push to higher frame rates in the most resource-heavy games, especially if 4K is your target. This particular Gigabyte-made card comes with three fans and is Nvidia SFF ready, meaning it'll be a good option for a small form factor build.

On its own, that GPU would set you back $1,059.99, while the 9850X3D would cost you $458.99. This $1,264.99 Newegg combo deal means you're saving over $250 on the two combined, dropping the overall cost of this powerhouse AMD X3D CPU to just $205 as a result. We'll be expecting this deal to sell fast, so if you're interested, make sure to grab it before the price goes up.
