God Of War: Young Kratos Statue Is Seriously Impressive

For God of War fans, the future is looking bright. Not only is the standalone spin-off, God of War Laufey, expected to launch in February 2027, starring Kratos' wife Faye in the lead role, but fans can also look forward to The God of War Trilogy Remake and even an upcoming live-action adaptation, although this one has taken a bit of a hit in recent weeks.

Although the first God of War entry was first released all the way back in 2005, following our Spartan warrior Kratos as he battled gods from Greek mythology, the Santa Monica Studios franchise has had a makeover in recent years thanks to a reboot beginning with 2018's God of War. Followed by God of War Ragnarök in 2022, the reboot franchise has been both a critical and commercial success, and as previously mentioned, it is far from over.

Not only are there multiple projects to look forward to, but thanks to Sideshow, there is another exciting release to look forward to, and it is now available for pre-order.

Limited to 400 models, the Young Kratos (Bonus Version) 1:3 Scale Statue is a beauty, showcasing a much younger Kratos as we first see him during God of War: Ragnarök's Valhalla expansion. Created by Prime 1 Studio, this figure is a whopping £1,575.47, but just by looking at the sheer details, it is easy to see why. It may not be an affordable collectible for many of us, but if you are able to get it, you will find no better Kratos figure on the market. Luckily, there is a slightly cheaper version that does not come with all of the additional parts, and that one comes in at £1,197.97. Still pretty damn expensive, but hey, we'll take it.

Set to begin shipping from July to December 2027, the more expensive Young Kratos (Bonus Version) 1:3 Scale Statue's description reads as follows:

"Destruction. Calamity. Loss that will never fade. Young Ghost of Sparta, projected on the throne in 1:3 scale. Facing the end of the world and journeying across the vast Nine Realms, God of War Ragnarök stands as one of the series’ defining milestones. From this action-adventure comes Young Kratos, joining the Throne Legacy lineup. After waging war against the Norse gods and seeing Atreus off on his path, Kratos turns to face his past in the DLC "God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla". Not only that, but the Bonus Edition also comes alongside a display stand for the Blades of Chaos.
