Cameron Mathison broke down in tears as he recounted returning to the ruins of his California home, with wildfires still raging across Los Angeles.

The General Hospital star, 55, made an emotional appearance on Thursday’s Good Morning America.

'I can’t sleep. I’ve lost everything I own. I have this hoodie I’m wearing, a pair of pants, and two pairs of sneakers—that’s it,' he explained. 'But obviously, it’s important to focus on what we have and what we can be grateful for.'

Mathison and his now-estranged wife Vanessa Arevalo had lived in the Pasadena home since 2012, along with their children Lelia, 18, and Lucas, 21.

'But it’s hard to get your head out of it,' he continued, tears welling in his eyes. 'Your mind begins reeling, and you think of all the things that are irreplaceable—like the kids' projects and the baby photos on film...'

'Of course, that’s just stuff, but it’s still very unsettling,' he added. 'And thinking of the hundreds and hundreds of people going through the same thing—it’s just devastating.'

Mathison’s Good Morning America appearance came after he posted heartbreaking photos on social media of his home, now reduced to ashes.

The once-beautiful property, in an upscale LA neighborhood, was barely recognizable.

As he drove through the devastation, Mathison was overcome with emotion, breaking down in tears and repeatedly shouting, 'Oh my God, oh my God,' in disbelief.

He also posted a video approaching his property, where the full extent of the damage was clear—ash and flames could be seen in the background, and the building’s structure had been severely affected.

Earlier on Tuesday, speaking to CNN, Mathison opened up about his intense reaction: 'I had never heard those sorts of sounds come out of me before.

'It was very odd, kind of a guttural pain and disbelief, and just shock and fear as I was approaching my property and not seeing the house.'

Mathison recalled waking up at 5 a.m. to reports of journalists in his neighborhood covering the wildfires, showing footage of 'my neighborhood burning.'

He recognized the houses in the video but couldn’t tell if his own home had survived.

'And thinking of the hundreds and hundreds of people going through the same thing—it’s just devastating'

'I just couldn’t take it anymore, so I got in the car and made my way up into the neighborhood,' he said.

'Houses were burning all around, there was tons of smoke, and roads were closed. I finally made it to my street, and when I turned onto my block, it was just totally decimated.'

Unfortunately, Mathison isn't alone in dealing with the devastation.

Actor Adam Brody and Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester’s home in the Pacific Palisades also fell victim to the catastrophic wildfires.

On Wednesday, shocking photos showed the once-beautiful property—set in the upscale celebrity enclave—reduced to a smoking ruin.

The roof had collapsed, flames were tearing through the rooms, and black smoke poured out of the broken windows.

The couple had just been seen publicly at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, less than two days before the fires began. T

They bought their home in 2019 for $6.5 million. The house had five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and three floors across 6,000 square feet.

Mandy Moore, Cary Elwes, Paris Hilton, James Woods, Billy Crystal and his wife Janice all claimed to have seen their homes go up in smoke in the Palisades Fire.

Ben Affleck got an unwelcome surprise on Tuesday when he came home to find part of LA’s west side being engulfed by a massive wildfire.

His neighborhood in Pacific Palisades is home to a ton of stars, including Tom Hanks, Miles Teller, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler,  and Jhene Aiko.

Sadly, at least five people have lost their lives in the disaster, with 2,000 buildings destroyed and many more left in ruins, reduced to nothing but ash.
