The countdown continues for one of Prime Video's most ambitious projects, as Game of Thrones and X-Men star Sophie Turner headlines an upcoming adaptation of the popular Tomb Raider video game series. Recently, the streamer delivered a first look at Turner in action as Lara Croft, with the mixed reaction from fans on social media already stirring up more anticipation for the series, for better or for worse. However, before Turner's big starring role makes its Prime Video debut, her latest project has found itself back on the streaming charts.

Co-starring Turner and Archie Madekwe, and executive produced by Greg Brenman (Peaky Blinders) and Rebecca de Souza (The Confessions of Frannie Langton), the heist thriller Steal is already one of the small-screen gems of 2026 and deserves even more attention than it has received thus far. A synopsis for the series reads, "An ordinary office worker, Zara, finds herself at the heart of a heist; a typical work day at a pension fund investment company is upended when a gang of violent thieves burst in and force Zara and her best mate Luke to execute their demands."

A six-episode miniseries created by S.A. Nikias, Steal debuted on Prime Video back in late January and immediately made a streaming splash. Although facing tough competition from the likes of the Ella Purnell-led Fallout Season 2 and the second installment of The Night Manager, Steal regularly found itself near the top of the charts. Now, almost two months later, it has returned and has officially earned a place in the top ten on Prime Video in the U.S.

What Did Critics Say About 'Steal'?

Not just a streaming hit, critics have also responded positively to Steal, with some calling for a second season despite the unambiguous nature of Season 1's finale. In Therese Lacson's review of the series for Collider, she dubbed it an "imperfect but addictive binge-watch," adding, "as far as crime thrillers go, Steal is an easy and addictive binge, keeping the viewer on their toes while Zara tries to uncover the truth. It's far from a masterpiece, but it's still satisfying enough for crime thriller lovers."

Sophie Turner's new miniseries Steal is streaming on Prime Video. For all the latest streaming stories, make sure to stay tuned to Collider.
