An original Game of Thrones star is leading a new spy thriller.

Richard Madden will lead the Paramount+ thriller Trauma from Slow Horses writer Geoff Bussetil. Madden, well-known for his roles as Robb Stark on Game of Thrones and Ikaris in Marvel's Eternals, will play Jim Marchant. A former Royal Marines medic who is now a doctor, Marchant becomes a pivotal figure when “terrorists seize a busy London hospital,” according to the official logline.

The Prime Minister is taken hostage during surgery, and Marchant has to fight his way through the hospital to save everyone inside. He moves from one floor to the next, and the “balance of power shifts.” This turns the building into a deadly survival battle.

Trauma will air on Amazon's Prime Video in the U.K. and Ireland, while Paramount streams it in all other territories. The project is a co-production between Lionsgate Television and 42 Management & Production. It was acquired for Amazon by Hannah Blyth, head of content acquisition at Prime Video.
