This FX crime thriller never backs down from a fight.

Among the recent popular crime thriller series on streaming are also quite a few shows licensed to the many streamers out there. For instance, after recently arriving on Netflix worldwide — not in the United States — The Mentalist found new life as a global streaming sensation. That is precisely what is happening with a new addition to HBO Max's library of TV shows.

According to FlixPatrol, Fargo is currently the 10th most-watched TV show on HBO Max worldwide. The anthology series finds company in the coveted chart with shows like The Pitt, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Rooster, DTF St. Louis, Heated Rivalry, and more. Fargo is not an HBO Max original series, with the crime thriller having debuted on FX on April 15, 2014.

Fargo is currently trending on HBO Max in 13 countries. While it does not rank as the most-watched TV show on the streaming service in any of them, the crime thriller series manages to secure the 2nd spot in eight of them. Some of those countries include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, and more. The United States is not one of the nations.

When it comes to HBO Max's nationwide charts, Fargo is not seen anywhere. The reason for that is simple, as the FX crime thriller series is exclusively available in the United States on Hulu. As for the US's most-watched TV shows on HBO Max, that list includes series like The Pitt, Rooster, Neighbors, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Unexpected, and more.

Created by Noah Hawley, Fargo is an anthology series that follows a different, blood-filled crime story every season. The twisted series is a follow-up to the 1996 movie of the same name by the Coen Brothers. Fargo is well-known for its star-studded cast. Across five seasons so far, actors like Jon Hamm, Billy Bob Thornton, Kirsten Dunst, Ewan McGregor, Jessie Buckley, Joe Keery, and many more have appeared.

Fargo's streaming success on HBO Max was to be expected. After all, on Rotten Tomatoes, the crime thriller series has a near-perfect 93% critics' score and a high 85% audience score. In other words, the FX crime thriller series is a universally beloved show. Now on HBO Max in select countries, Fargo is reaching a whole new audience.
