Fox has officially discharged its M*A*S*H-esque military comedy series, sending the show home from duty for good.

According to Deadline, Going Dutch has been canceled by Fox after two seasons, as the network has decided not to renew its second-year comedy for a third season. This is the network's first cancellation of the season, coming just before it reveals its 2026–27 lineup at its upfront presentation on Monday, May 11.

The decision isn't unexpected, as Going Dutch was the only scripted show on Fox considered to be "on the bubble" this season, since it ranked as the network's lowest-rated entertainment program. Although Denis Leary is well regarded within the network and renewal was considered, Fox ultimately chose not to move forward with a third season.

While Going Dutch won't be returning for a third season, Fox has decided to renew Animal Control for a fifth season and Best Medicine for a second season. Fox has also picked up its second-season medical drama Doc, along with new thriller Memory of a Killer and Fear Factor: House of Fear.

More to come...
