In just a few weeks, the new TV cycle is beginning, and Fox has a solid lineup for the new season. Looking ahead of the 2025-2026 TV cycle, networks are pretty much already focused on getting their casts and crews back on the set, as production for many scripted shows is now starting. Unlike projects on streaming services, network shows have a long-established schedule, guaranteeing that renewed series will have a slot in either the fall or winter, which is when premieres usually take place.
The big three — CBS, NBC, and ABC have all laid out their respective fall 2026 portfolios. For the Eye Network, it's a mix of new shows and established procedurals. Meanwhile, NBC's schedule is dominated by legacy projects like One Chicago and the Law & Order franchise. Finally, ABC front loaded their year with their longer-running projects, such as 9-1-1 and Grey's Anatomy. For Fox, viewers would be delighted to know that a lot of fan-favorites are coming back sooner rather than later.
Fox's Fall 2026 Schedule Is All About Established Shows
Fox's 2026 fall programming is made up of returning shows. From new fan-favorites, such as Best Medicine season 2 and Doc season 3, to legacy projects like The Simpsons season 38 and Animal Control season 5. These popular scripted projects are mixed with game shows, like Celebrity Weakest Link season 2 and The Floor season 6, which gives viewers more diversity when choosing what to watch during their evenings.

Of course, Fox also has its signature sports shows, including the ongoing Fox Sports Saturday and FOX College Football Friday, not to mention NFL on Fox during Sundays. Looking at the premiere dates, the network is kicking off the 2026-2027 TV cycle earlier than its peers. While the majority of shows from CBS, NBC, and ABC are expected to roll out in early October, Fox's portfolio would have already premiered before the end of September.
What Fox Shows Have Been Delayed To The Midseason
Similar to its peers, Fox is saving several shows for the midseason. The list includes several existing projects, such as Murder in a Small Town and Memory of a Killer. The same goes with animated comedies American Dad!, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and Krapopolis. Interestingly, however, Fox is also pushing the arrival of its most-anticipated new show to 2027, with Stephen Amell's Baywatch revival not debuting until the midseason, as well. Stephen Fry's The Interrogator, which is a spy thriller, rounds up the network's winter portfolio.
When these projects will kickstart their respective seasons is still uncertain. Unlike its fall 2026 programming, Fox has yet to announce its dates for the midseason. Looking at its 2027 lineup, however, it's heavier on the scripted shows compared to the first half of the cycle.
