Though he may not be green, Lou Ferrigno’s latest role will certainly make you turn green. Today, Collider is thrilled to exclusively unveil the trailer for the actor’s latest feature-length production, The Hermit, which sees the legendary star behind The Incredible Hulk deliver a performance like you’ve never seen from him before. Backed by filmmaker Salvatore Sclafani, the project also features supporting performances from A Series of Unfortunate Events alum Malina Weissman and Love, Victor’s Anthony Turpel. Backed by Uncork’d Entertainment, the title will celebrate a digital and on-demand arrival on March 3.

Foreshadowing the bloodbath to come, the beginning of The Hermit trailer picks up at the end of the story, with Weissman’s Lisa looking into a camera while being interviewed about the harrowing events that she and her family were forced to endure. Jumping back to the beginning, we see Lisa and her brother, Eric (Turpel), pulled into a forested getaway by their dad. It’s there — next to her father’s perfect fishing spot – that they come face-to-face with true evil when they inadvertently stumble onto a pig farm run by a hermit known as Hugo (Ferrigno). After spotting the unwanted trespassers, Hugo embarks on a bloody warpath to remove them from his property and use their bodies for his jerky enterprise.

In a statement paired with today’s trailer reveal, Keith Leopard, President of Uncork’d Entertainment said:

“Lou Ferrigno delivers a performance that horror fans won’t see coming. The Hermit is dark, action-packed, and wildly entertaining. It’s exactly the kind of bold genre film our audience loves and we can’t wait for viewers to experience it this March.”

What Else Has Lou Ferrigno Been Up To?

Forever synonymous with one of the first majorly successful on-screen projects to hail from Marvel, Ferrigno will always be The Hulk of our hearts (sorry Mark Ruffalo and Edward Norton). The actor has largely lain low over the last few years, but joined the all-star cast behind Michael Tolkin and Nikki Toscano’s Paramount+ series, The Offer, back in 2022. Aside from his first dip into horror with The Hermit, Ferrigno will soon have his voice featured in Michael Skolnick’s animated sci-fi comedy, Harry and the Mutant Mid-Century Furniture, alongside a cast that also includes Walton Goggins and Ron Funches.

Check out our exclusive first look at the debut trailer for The Hermit above and see it on digital or on-demand on March 3.
