Britta DeVore is a Senior Author for Collider who has been known to dabble with Reality News as well.

Have you seen stories about 'Chucky,' 'Scream,' 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' 'The Boys,' 'Vanderpump Rules,' or any of 'The Real Housewives' franchises? That's probably a Britta DeVore-curated piece of art, and it sounds like you have great taste.

When she isn't sitting behind her laptop bringing readers her hot takes on upcoming projects or keeping the dream alive in the Senior News team, Britta can usually be found outside hiking or inside behind her drum set. She currently plays in two bands, Kid Midnight and Watergate, both based in Brooklyn. An obsessive traveler, Britta loves long road trips to the South West and has a soft spot in her heart for canyons, rivers, and forests.

She also has a tiny cat named Athena that she loves more than anything else in the world and is always happy for new brewery recs.

Cutthroat, challenging, and contentious, the music industry is an incredibly difficult line of work to break into. Between the long hours of rehearsals and writing songs that are approved by the record labels, getting your music out there can go from exciting to mind-numbing in no time at all. And then there’s the competition. Out of the thousands of musicians that hope to make it big, only a small sliver will. Exploring the ups and downs of the music industry is multi-hyphenate creative Gregory Jbara with his feature-length directorial debut, Original Sound, which follows a storyline that centers on a struggling musician receiving his big break after his song is stolen. Today, as part of Collider’s Exclusive Preview event, we’ve got two brand-new images from the upcoming film to share with our readers that showcase the film’s primary tumultuous relationship.

Danny Solis (David Lambert) is trying to do everything in his power to make his dreams a reality. But, no matter how good his songs are or how many gigs he plays, he just can’t get his foot in the door. However, after one of his songs is stolen by an up-and-coming star (Laura Marano), Danny may have finally found his path forward. Filling out the movie’s primary ensemble is a lineup of names that also includes Eric Stoltz (Pulp Fiction), Bridget Moynahan (Blue Bloods), Ari Notartomaso (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies), Constantine Maroulis (American Idol), famed Broadway songwriter David Yazbek, Ted King (Charmed), and Luis Antonio Ramos (The Shield).

Our first picture of Original Sound puts Lambert’s Danny in the place he feels most at home — the recording studio. With a pair of thick headphones on, Danny smiles at something off-screen — undoubtedly happy with whatever he’s hearing. The second shot depicts the relationship between the movie’s primary characters, with Danny and Ryan (Marano) standing in a doorway opposite one another. There might be some anger there from the former party after discovering that his song was stolen, but it certainly looks like things will heat up for the pair the longer they collaborate on their craft together.

A ‘Blue Bloods’ Reunion

Original Sound might be Jbara’s first foray into filmmaking, but it’s far from his first time working on a set. Prior to stepping behind the camera, Jbara was in front of it, appearing in numerous pieces of television and film over his career. At the top of his list, though, is his beloved CBS procedural, Blue Bloods, where he appeared as Deputy Commissioner Garrett Moore throughout the 14-season-running drama. Using his directorial debut to make a reunion happen, the title sees the helmer working alongside his Blue Bloods co-star Moynahan once again.
