Only a few days are left before the Season 2 finale of Fallout will be released, and Prime Video is giving fans the perfect opportunity to catch up. Fallout Season 1 will be available for viewers for free, days before the final episode airs. Season 1 was released all at once back in 2024 and received wildly positive praise following its debut.
Fallout Season 1 has been made available on Prime Video's YouTube channel, and as of writing, the first four episodes have been released, and more will drop through the end of the month. Fallout is a TV series based on the Bethesda video game franchise of the same name, but rather than adapting the games directly, the series features an original story set in the same alternate post-apocalyptic universe. Season 1 introduces viewers to the show's three main players: Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell), a Vault 33 dweller who ventures to the surface to find her father (Kyle MacLachlan), who was taken by ravagers; Maximus (Aaron Moten), a squire of the Brotherhood of Steel, who eventually meets Lucy on the surface; and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins), a human who's mutated into a ghoul, who was a Hollywood actor and Vault-Tec ambassador before the apocalypse.
Fallout Season 1 received a high 93% Certified Fresh Critics' score and a 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, Season 1 received numerous accolades, including "Best Adaptation" at The Game Awards, and was nominated for "Outstanding Drama Series," "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series," and "Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series" at the Primetime Emmy Awards.
What Is The Story of 'Fallout' Season 2 So Far?
Fallout Season 2 continues where Season 1 left off, with Lucy teaming up with The Ghoul to head to New Vegas to find her father, after learning the truth of what he did to Shady Sands. Meanwhile, Maximus receives praise from the Brotherhood of Steel and becomes a knight following his activities in Shady Sands. The show also continues to showcase life in the Vaults as Norm (Moisés Arias) attempts to find an escape through Vault 31. Meanwhile, tensions rise between Vault 33 and Vault 32 as Vault 33's overseer, Betty Pearson (Leslie Uggams), tries to negotiate with Vault 32's overseer, Stephanie Harper (Annabel O'Hagan), for resources.
In addition to the current timeline, Fallout Season 2 continues to reveal more of Ghoul's backstory, when he was still known as Cooper Howard, as he learns more about his wife's role at Vault-Tec and his meeting with Robert House (Justin Theroux) in Las Vegas. As of writing, Fallout Season 2 continues to receive praise from fans and critics alike, generating a Certified Fresh Critics' score of 97% and a high audience score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Fallout Season 2 finale airs on February 3, 2026. In the meantime, you can watch previous episodes on Prime Video and YouTube.
