With extensive experience playing video games, he covers all forms of gaming content at Screen Rant, from breaking news to the latest fan theories. Most-played games range from Clair Obscur to Civ to Elden Ring to Halo 2 and beyond.

Fallout has seen a huge wave of interest in the past few years thanks to the success of the beloved Amazon television series, which, to the surprise of many, has been a faithful adaptation of the video games so far. Bringing Fallout: New Vegas into the mix was clearly a popular decision, and Season 2 of the show was received with overwhelmingly positive response among fans and critics alike.

On the video game front, however, Fallout fans are feeling a bit disheartened knowing that it's going to be a long wait until they get their hands on Fallout 5, the next mainline entry in the series. Bethesda head honcho Todd Howard has made it clear that, while Fallout 5 is certainly in development at some level, the studio's focus is currently on The Elder Scrolls 6.

While there's no release date in sight for the next Fallout game, fans will want to mark their calendars for the upcoming April 24 launch of a brand-new Fallout Vault Loot Collection from Merchoid.

Fallout fans will be able to grab a brand-new Vault Loot Collection gift set from Merchoid when it releases on April 24, available to pre-order now. The collection features four unique collectible items, including a 25th Anniversary limited-edition puzzle, Fallout-themed Emoji socks, an exclusive Vault Boy figurine, and a flashy Vault Boy 3D key ring.

The 25th Anniversary Fallout puzzle is a 1000-piece collectible that "reveals hidden secrets" in the Fallout universe, and the full gift set collection is up for pre-order at $137.99 USD, expected to ship later this month. Merchoid currently has several officially licensed Fallout products releasing on April 24, including a Nuka-Cola T-51 Rubber Duck collectible, two different Nuka Glass Bottle Series releases, and more.

What About Fallout 5 Though?

Anyone tuned into recent news on Fallout 5 will know that it's going to be quite a wait before we get our hands on anything substantive. There are currently very few details about the project outside the fact we know it's coming out after The Elder Scrolls 6, which could mean players will have to wait potentially into the 2030s.

It's also known that the game will take place in the same universe as the Amazon Fallout series, meaning events in the next game will reflect those seen in the show at some level. However, it's currently unknown where the game will be set, despite there being several different U.S. locations fans are hoping for, with New Orleans being a top pick.

While information is hard to come by regarding Fallout's next major game, it leaves plenty of time for fans to get hyped for what's on the horizon and debate/speculate over what they think the best location, characters, factions, etc., will be for Fallout 5 when it eventually releases.
